We want you to be happy with your purchase from CardBase. Here’s everything you need to know about returns.

Can I Return My Order?

Yes, if:

  • The item doesn’t match the photos or description
  • We sent you the wrong item
  • Your order arrived damaged
  • You’ve changed your mind about any item within 14 days (distance selling regulations)

No, if:

  • You’ve opened a sealed product – breaking the seal significantly reduces the value and voids your right to return for change of mind

How Long Do I Have?

You have 14 days from when you receive your order to let us know you want to return something.

How Do I Return Something?

Step 1: Email us at neil@cardbase.co.uk

  • Include your order number
  • Tell us what you want to return and why
  • Send photos if something’s wrong with the item

Step 2: Wait for our reply We’ll email you back within 1 business day (often the same day) to confirm your return and give you the address to send it to.

Step 3: Pack it carefully

  • Use the original packaging if you still have it
  • Make sure cards are protected
  • Include a note with your order number

Step 4: Post it back

  • For change of mind returns: You pay for return shipping
  • For our errors (wrong item, damaged, not as described): We’ll cover return costs and explain how
  • We recommend using tracked post
  • Keep your receipt until we confirm we’ve received it

When Will I Get My Refund?

Once we receive your return:

  • We’ll check it over (takes 1-2 days)
  • If approved, we’ll refund you within 3-5 days
  • The money goes back to whatever payment method you used
  • Original shipping costs aren’t refunded unless we made a mistake

What About Graded Cards?

Graded cards have been professionally assessed by independent grading companies like PSA, BGS, or CGC. When you purchase a graded card:

  • You’re buying the card in the grade assigned by the grading company
  • We accurately represent the grade shown on the slab
  • Grading standards can vary between companies and over time
  • Individual opinions about a card’s grade may differ from the grading company’s assessment

We’re not responsible for the grading company’s assessment or any perceived grading errors. The grade shown represents that company’s professional opinion at the time of grading.

You still have your 14-day return rights for graded cards if you change your mind, provided the card is returned in the same condition (still in its original slab, unopened).

If you believe a card has been incorrectly graded, you can submit it to the grading company for review at your own cost.

My Order Arrived Damaged

Don’t worry, we’ll sort it out:

  1. Take photos of everything (the box, packaging, and damaged items)
  2. Email us immediately
  3. Don’t throw away any packaging – we might need it for the insurance claim

International Returns

EU Customers:

  • Have the same 14-day cooling off period as UK customers
  • Must pay return shipping costs for change of mind returns
  • We cover return costs if items are faulty or not as described

Rest of World Customers:

  • No automatic right to return for change of mind
  • Can return if items are faulty, damaged, or not as described
  • Must pay return shipping costs unless we made an error
  • We cannot refund customs duties or taxes paid in your country
