Originally a winger, he was switched to centre forward and became renowned for his blistering pace and powerful shooting. He won three FA Cup finals in 1951, 1952 and 1955, and won 13 England caps, scoring 10 goals.
He was a cousin to the mother of Jack and Bobby Charlton. Milburn passed away on 9 October 1988 at the age of 64.
