Pele Rookie Card #76 – WS Verlag Fussball 1958
Card number 76 from the 1958 WS Verlag Fussball collection, featuring Brazil forward Pele. Graded CSG 4 (Very Good-Excellent condition).
This is one of Pele’s earliest cards from his rookie year, issued during the 1958 World Cup where the 17-year-old announced himself to world football.
The WS Verlag Fussball series was a German-produced collection documenting the historic 1958 World Cup in Sweden, which saw Pele’s Brazil triumph and Wales reach their first and only World Cup quarter-final.
The “Brazil Wales” subtitle references the quarter-final match where Brazil defeated Wales 1-0, with Pele scoring the only goal. This card is from Pele’s breakthrough tournament, where he scored six goals in four matches, including two in the final.
A very important early Pele card from his World Cup debut year. The CSG 4 grade indicates Very Good-Excellent condition, professionally authenticated and preserved in its protective slab.
