This Les Ferdinand card is number 92 from the 1992 Pro Set English Football collection, part of the first series covering the Premier League and Football League clubs.
The 1992 Pro Set was the second series of English football cards produced by the American manufacturer Pro Set. The set consisted of two parts totalling over 500 cards across all four divisions.
Ferdinand was beginning to establish himself as a regular goalscorer at Queens Park Rangers during the 1991-92 season, netting 10 league goals. He had returned from a successful loan spell at Beşiktaş in Turkey during the 1988-89 season and was now a key part of the QPR attack.
The following season Ferdinand scored 20 goals as QPR finished fifth, the beginning of the prolific run that would earn him a £6 million move to Newcastle United in 1995.
