1997 Merlin Premier Gold #4 Ray Parlour MGC 10
This Ray Parlour card is number 4 from the 1997 Merlin Premier Gold series. The card has been graded MGC 10, the highest grade on the scale.
The 1997 Merlin Premier Gold set covers the 1996–97 season, the campaign in which Arsène Wenger took charge at Arsenal. Many expected Parlour to be moved on, but Wenger saw something others missed. Encouraged to express himself, Parlour became a key player in the sides that would go on to win three league titles and three FA Cups.
Born in Romford, London on 7 March 1973, Parlour joined Arsenal as a trainee at the age of 12 and spent 15 years at the club. He left Highbury in 2004, shortly after helping the Invincibles complete an unbeaten league season.
