Osgood is a Chelsea club legend, widely known as the “King of Stamford Bridge”. A prolific, skilful centre-forward, he helped Chelsea win the FA Cup in 1969–70 and the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1970–71, scoring in the 1970 FA Cup final replay and scoring in both matches of the 1971 Cup Winners’ Cup final.
He later won the FA Cup again with Southampton in 1975–76 and was capped four times by England, including being part of the 1970 World Cup squad.
